There’s a reason this dish got its name — it’s the kind of meal that makes someone look across the table and think, “I want this person in my life forever.” Marry Me Chicken is a creamy, sun-dried tomato pan sauce poured over perfectly seared chicken, rich with Parmesan and a handful of fresh herbs that make the whole kitchen smell like a restaurant.
The name is dramatic, but the recipe isn’t. You need one skillet, about 35 minutes, and ingredients you can find at any grocery store. The sauce comes together while the chicken finishes in the oven, and when you pull it out — golden, glossy, fragrant — you’ll understand exactly why it earned that name.

Directions
Step 1: Season the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Pat the chicken breasts completely dry with paper towels — this is essential for a good sear. Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Step 2: Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until deeply golden. The chicken will not be cooked through yet. Transfer to a plate.
Step 3: Toast the Garlic
Reduce heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant but not brown.
Step 4: Build the Sauce
Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up all the browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Add the heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
Step 5: Add Parmesan
Simmer the sauce for 2–3 minutes until it thickens slightly, then stir in the Parmesan until melted and smooth. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
Step 6: Bake
Nestle the seared chicken back into the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15–18 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
Step 7: Rest and Serve
Remove from the oven and let rest for 3 minutes. Scatter fresh basil over the top and serve immediately, spooning extra sauce generously over each piece.
